SM Cares, in partnership with the Philippine Breast Cancer Society and SM City North EDSA, will hold Pink Ribbon Day in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink Ribbon Day aims to promote awareness, early detection, and early intervention of breast cancer amongst women.
The event will be attended by different women groups, advocates, doctors, as well as families and friends of breast cancer advocacy supporters. It aims to support the women in communities where SM is present.
There will be a Zumba session by Ms. Regine Tolentino, and a short program in the morning that will feature inspirational testimonials from celebrity breast cancer survivors and advocates, Maritoni Fernandez, Alya Honasan, and Toni Abad. Doctors from the Philippine Breast Cancer Society will also share their expertise on how to detect and protect women against the risk of breast cancer.
Volunteer doctors will conduct free clinical breast examinations from 12:00 NN to 5PM to interested attendees. (Registration starts at 9:00 AM)
